10 Fascinating Facts About Lindsey

Hey, LGL family!

I’ve resolved to switch things up and have some fun with this blog post. As always, I love blogging about Jesus and the profound life lessons I’m learning. However, I’d like to mix it up and share TEN fun and intriguing facts about the fearfully and wonderfully made woman God placed behind this blog.

For those who haven’t taken the time to read the “About Me” page on the blog or if this is your first time to my blog, allow me to (re)introduce myself. My name is Lindsey Capron and the creator of this blog Lovegraceandlight.com.

Now that we got that out of the way. Here are my ten fun facts about me. Ready?

1. I Accepted Christ in 2012

I remember praying the prayer of salvation after attending a bible study an acquaintance invited me to back in September 2012. Really, I had NO clue what I would be getting myself into; I only knew I wanted Jesus. My intimate walk with Christ so far is an AMAZING one with some difficult challenges. Nonetheless, the decision to give my life to Christ was the BEST decision I’ve ever made. The transformative work, deliverance, miracles, and guidance that He’s doing is words indescribable.

2. I Met My Husband On Facebook

My mom always warned me about Facebook and Instagram. Ironically enough, I met my husband on Facebook. Donovan and I connected through a video a Christian comedian posted in September 2016. We were strangers living in different states with no mutual friends. Our connection started in the comment section of the video leading to some slides in the DMs.
The connection grew to a long-distance relationship meeting in person three times. Valentines Day 2017, we got engaged and married later that year in November. All it took was one “like” on a comment.

3. I Was In Classical Ballet For Almost 10 Years

Tutus, hair in buns, pointe shoes, I did it all. I spent my middle and high school years studying Italian ballet in performing arts school. Later, I joined a Russian ballet academy after graduating. I would fulfill my dream of dancing publically in Southern California for three years.
Do I know how to stand on my toes? Yes, I do and still can.

4. I’m Not A HUGE Fan Of Cake

I know, you’re probably ready to unfollow and unfriend me for this. But it’s true. My wedding cake was the ONLY cake I consumed and enjoyed. I mean, come on. It’s chocolate salted caramel.
Other than that, you will generally NOT see me consume any cake at birthdays parties, weddings, or any other events. Reason being, the texture, and consistency of cake resembles a cleaning sponge with whipped icing. NO, THANK YOU!

5. I’m the Oldest Out of Three Kids

I LOVE being the oldest. Yeah, it’s a lot of responsibility at times. Also, the weight of having to set an example for the younger siblings can be often heavy. Nonetheless, it’s GREAT. I have a younger sister, Leah who’s after me and the youngest, Chris. I’m not a bossy sister, I promise.

6. My Socks Hardly Match

90% of the time, my socks are mismatched. I don’t own regular white socks for some reason. I love colorful and eccentric socks; meaning you’ll find me wearing a pink polka-dot left sock with an electric blue right sock. The matching is around but who’s got time to send a search party for it.

7. I’m Obsessed With Anything Floral

For those who follow my Instagram page, almost every post has a flower in it. Be it garden flowers, floral attires, or even flowers I pin in my hair. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. You should see my prayer chair! It’s so floral I had to blog about it (click here to read more). I’m particularly fond of roses. Did I mention I love flowers?

8. I’ve Been To Three Different Countries So Far

Traveling brings me so much joy. I plan to do it more. So far, I’ve visited Mexico, The Bahamas, and Turks and Caicos. I certainly have my heart set on the United Kingdom next. I would also love to travel to Greece, Canada, French Polynesia, and the Maldives (to name a few).

9. I’m A Jokester

Of course, there’s a time and place to be solemn. But, I’d much rather be laughing. I love to make people laugh or at least crack a chuckle or smile.

10. I Have A Song On iTunes

Yes, it’s true. I have a song on iTunes currently out. It only took me 15 minutes to write lyrics. February 2017, Donovan and I were recording in his music production studio. He tells me to get on the mic and sing. Once the recording process was complete, we decided to release it on iTunes. It didn’t make much money, but the experience was FANTASTIC.

Well, there you have it. Those are ten compelling facts about Lindsey. Of course, I have TONS more experiences and fascinating stories, but I don’t want to overwhelm or bore you.

Which one of the fact intrigued you the most? Also, what’s a fascinating fact that you’d like to share. Inquiring minds want to know. Drop a comment below and let’s have a conversation.
